Now, even better performance on gravel and singletrack with the TACTICA KIESKAEFER T5, the replacement for the GTC KIESPANZER C2. It’s lighter, more breathable, and features a more compressive construction. Key improvements include the Type.911 fabric and the stabilizing rollBar, derived from the Racing Series, giving you high-intensity racing performance off-road. The thigh pockets are also larger, providing more storage space for easy access to bike gear and fuel. For the T5 generation, we’ve also improved the seat pad with a foam that better absorbs shocks, absorbs vibrations, and neutralises repeated impacts on gravel and trails.
Combine with the TACTICA T5 layering systems and wear the TACTICA bodywarmer and the STEINADLER Shell jacket over it in harsh conditions.
Textile
The Type.911 is a warp-knit fabric with a silky, abrasion-resistant texture that provides stabilising compression in a richer, deeper black than the previous model. It’s also hydrophobic and quick-drying, preventing moisture buildup and features odorControl and UPF50+ protection. The pockets are constructed with panels of K-Net, a supportive, breathable warp-knit mesh that hugs your body for stability and comfort.

The TACTICA T5’s fit enhances freedom of movement and is less aggressive than our racingFit, balancing streamlined, compact aerodynamics with all-day comfort and less restriction when you’re not riding.

- rollBar: A patented support design derived from the Racing Series. It stabilises the chamois and locks it in place as you shift your weight during sprints, climbs, or corners.
- zeroPressure Waist: The soft, highly elastic waist provides greater comfort and support around the waist, but without pinching.
- PILtec Plug-In: A lightweight, highly breathable band around the leg opening. The microdot silicone treatment is invisible from the outside, yet provides a stable fit and provides grip when wet.
- Integrated Storage: Two triple thigh pockets keep your cycling gear secure and easily accessible, allowing you to focus on the gravel or trail.
